In 2020–21, I department-headed hair & makeup for an immersive Stranger Things theatre production staged in a DTLA parking garage at the height of the pandemic. Navigating strict new health and safety protocols, I managed a team responsible for preparing actors for 16 daily shows while ensuring rigorous sanitation and wig resets. Over the nine-month run, I personally bought, cut, dyed, and styled more than 70 wigs to match both the iconic characters and ensemble cast in authentic 1980s style. The project demanded constant adaptability, problem-solving, and calm leadership, making it one of the most challenging and rewarding experiences of my career.
