Plot. In a dying 1950’s town, a mysterious traveler propositions a young farmhand, Donnie, to help take down the town’s tyrannical leader in exchange for the release of Donnie’s mother from a primitive mind rehabilitation center.
Creating elevated period hair and makeup looks in the heat of the desert, without wigs, was no easy feat but I’m super proud of my work in BAB and enjoyed the research and design process where I discovered what looks were prominent in a dying, dusty, middle-America town in the 50s. I also got to create some FX using a combination of prosthetics, plate rigs, and 2D transfers.
